Good book, worth the money. Very useful, illustrated, good colored, nice pictures. The introduction and basic chapters are too long, i was thinking that was really advanced book, but have lot of general informations. The part dedicated to skywatching could be more extense.

But over all, is a good book.John O'Byrne is the author of My First Pocket Guide Stars & Planets ( avg rating, 8 ratings, 2 reviews, published ), The Little Guides ( avg 4/5(13). Contrary to the title of the book, "Advanced Skywatching", the first part of the book is suitable reading for novices, but the star-hopping section is useful even for fairly seasoned observers like myself.

This book was published some years ago, but the only thing which is a bit dated is the chapter about astro imaging.
